Freelance
As a jobbing sculptor, after an apprenticeship in stone carving and restoration, I worked freelance in the stone trade for a number of years. Since moving to Scotland in 1988, I have worked with many different materials and projects for ’Chalkworks’ an Edinburgh based company. As part of a small team , I would usually be responsible for a section of work, eg: ‘heads’ or ’bodies’ and with very specific requirements. The end products are in visitor centres, castles and museums all over Britain and Northern Ireland.
