These sculptures were commissioned for specific public places, with distinct remits.
Fish panel Pirn Hill.
‘PIRN HILL’. Seven bass relief panels sited on top of Pirn Hill Iron Age hill fort in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders. Made in 2000~2001, the designs reflect 2000 years of local history. Doddington sandstone(104 x 84 x 6cm each panel). Commissioned by Tweed Valley Interpretation project.
‘DWELLINGS’ made during two week residency at Wooplaw Woods, Lauder, Scottish Borders, 2007. Five woven structures Made from willow coppiced from the woods. Material sourced on site, community Involvement and the biodegradable nature of the work were part of the brief.
‘SOUVENIR’ , 50cm high. Made from 360 million year old sandstone from the foundations of the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, 1996. Commissioned by National Museum of Scotland.
